When I started training with Jozef, it was 6 months after I delivered my twin girls. I was nervous, scared and terrified of starting to train again but once I finished my first work out, those fears turned into motivation and strength to lose the baby weight! After the first few weeks my whole attitude turned around and I looked forward to training! Every work out was unique, different and challenging. There was never a dull moment. We did everything from lift weights, kick box, strength train and so much more. Jozef’s multifaceted work out techniques are not only interesting but get you the results you want to achieve. At the beginning I could hardly do one chin-up, run for over 2 minutes or lift any weights. As our training progressed, I was able to do 10 chin-ups on my own, run for 20 minutes and lift up to 70 kg. Within the first three months of training, I was even able to drop 2 dress sizes to fit into an evening gown I had in mind for my sister’s wedding! Even I was shocked by my progress, but Jozef wasn’t. He believed in me from the start and constantly motivated me to push myself. After a year and a half of working with him, I was more confident with my body and felt like I had achieved my goals and more. Thanks Jozef!!

“ I don’t see my osteopath anymore after starting training with Joe!”

I started training with Joe towards the end of January 2017. I had been seeing an osteopath quite a bit and realized I needed to do something to strengthen my body. I lacked energy, stamina and strength. Every time I started training I would end up with an injury and it would we a trip back to the osteopath. It was a vicious cycle that I couldn’t escape.I took up personal training with Joe. We did a lot of mobility and stretching exercises really focusing on getting the postures right and working deeper into the muscles. After 2 sessions I started feeling better and was standing upright. As every session went by I began to notice small but profound differences in the way I walked, moved and did a lot of the exercises. After 10 sessions I am feeling significantly stronger, more energetic and I have a great range of controlled movement especially when I am performing the exercises. I have not seen my osteopath since I started training with Joe. My posture has changed tremendously and I have managed to feel more energetic and hence can exercise more often and for longer. I have now signed up for a few more sessions with Joe. Joe is a very caring and supportive Trainer and I can’t recommend him highly enough.

I have worked with Joe, as my PT, for the last 5 years. When I first started a was nervous to go into a gym, I found it very intimidating. Joe made sessions fun, I even developed a love of boxing through him. I have issues with my neck, back and shoulders after a few big riding accidents. Joe would always make sure I was using the right muscles and check in with me mid exercise, so I wouldn’t injure myself. He would also help me with exercises given by my sports therapist. “Bloodwork back to normal, successful summit of Kilimanjaro and ran 10km race!”

The day I decided to start exercising was when I discussed my blood work results with the doctor. I had issues with liver enzymes, high cholesterol levels among other things. The doctor recommended I start diet and exercise immediately and do the test again after 12 months. I was really in bad shape,  the last time I exercised was in high school, I was so unfit I would break into sweat just by doing simple stretches. During the first meeting with Jozef we discussed the lab report, food diet, and fitness history and goals. I expressed my desire for running and climbing mountains - both of which  I’m not physically capable to achieve.  Jozef was so professional, focused, and patient. What started to be an unattainable goal quickly progressed into a reality. Every week we would sit to discuss the diet routine makes recommendation and changes. As my self esteem and confidence started to improve he moderated the amount of exercise accordingly. He increased the workout intensity gradually just enough so it was challenging but not off putting, something I have yet to find a personal trainer that can understand.  At the end of the first year my blood work number where all back to normal, and I was able to jog 10 kilometers non stop. My self esteem greatly improved and I hiked a mountain for 8 days.  Jozef is patient and dedicated to his job.  The most important thing was that I never for a second felt the slightest form of discouragement wether that was a word or an expression or a body posture. He made sure each session was fun yet it achieves the intended target, and I believe that this combination was the reason that kept me exercising and not quitting. He is the best.

My name is Pat Cooper, I am 68 years old and  while I will never have a 6 pack, 😂😂 my fitness goals focus on mobility, balance, increased strength and cardio health. I have been training with Joe for a few years and without Joe, I am sure I would have had a knee replacement or a hip replacement, or both! Joe is a great motivator and always pushes to do a heavier weight or an extra rep and constantly makes you want to do more. Joe is quick to give advice, answer questions and builds a rapport to make sessions interesting. The sessions are very varied and when required, concentrate on areas that need attention. Recently a pain in my knee had me hobbling around and with concentrated exercises focused on my knee to build strength,  this pain is a thing of the past and mobility fully restored. I often think I am so lucky not to have a pain in my body and to be able to do the things I enjoy – walking, gardening, running around after grandkids, helping lift and carry during house renovations, and feeling that sense of ‘I can do this’.
